 BRIAN FEATURED ON TAMWORTH TAXI

NEW  CD   UPDATE
Although still only in the infant stages, we are pleased to announce that work on Brian's new CD has commenced,  Brian recently spent a few days in the LBS Recording Studio in Tamworth with Producer and long time friend, Lindsay Butler “putting down the beds and guide vocals” for the new release. This album will be a collection of old Irish songs that his supporters have been asking for, for a long, long time.   There are 10 easily recognizable favourites, plus 2 new songs, especially penned for this release.  Brian is pleased to again be accompanied for a duet by his son Matt and just to keep it in the family, musician son Trevor will also feature, playing drums.
A release date for the as yet, untitled CD has not been finalised, however it is anticipated that the CD will be available towards the end of the year. Brian is excited about the concept of this new album as he has been a  long time fan of the lyrics and melodies of the Celtic style of music and is keen to share his enthusiastic versions with his supporters.

FROM THE STABLES.........
A
lthough the stables have been completely back in action of late,  the  recent weeks have seen a slower pace. A brief holiday break for Brian and Michele as well as Brian’s touring commitments and poor local weather conditions have forced some delays in work and racing preparations.  However, mid December will hopefully see  everything “back to  normal”, full steam ahead.   It is now over 12 months since “Arty”, Living Art was injured in the race fall.  Following the lengthy spell, as we expected, it has taken all this time for his condition to improve and after his recent “fast work”    session this week, it appears that he is nearing full fitness.  Arty did have a couple of race starts for us at   Tamworth in late  October and early November.  Unfortunately, and most certainly due to his level of fitness he was not very competitive.   With consistent work and regular racing, we hope to see a marked improvement in Arty’s racing performance. Lombo Nakamurra, the “bossy” gent of the stable!, is currently  showing in his fast work sessions, why we have high expectations of him, producing outstanding lap times at this stage of his preparation.   With no concerns of his arthritic injury,  Lombo will this week begin trials in preparation for this season’s racing campaign.       All going well, we anticipate him being at the races for the Tamworth, 24th    December meeting.  Lombo, will absolutely be a horse to watch in the near future. Sweet natured”, Jessica has now also come to the trials stage of her training.  Jessica has regularly been training with another young horse.    She is continuing to show promise and a keenness to race, which is a good sign in a young horse.    We are keen to ‘test’ her at trials during   December in anticipation of commencing her racing campaign in January. We are excited & proud to announce that “Go Maddy Go” received a  positive pregnancy result and has    settled in foal without difficulty.  We look forward to our 1st bred foal around September, next year. 2 year old,  Dream Shaker,  known at the stables as “Jock” has come back looking  exceptionally well.  He has grown somewhat, appears rested, well and healthy following his spell in the  paddock.    As we talked of in the last newsletter, Jock is a very promising little horse.  We are pleased to have him back and look forward to seeing him progress with his early preparation and training for his first ever race.To “co-work with Jock, we are keen to commence work with another very promising 2 year old racing prospect, whom we broke in as a youngster, then sent home to the hills in   Warwick, Qld to spell and grow.  DUSTY”, will hopefully join Jock in the coming weeks.
